Abstract

Despite the high marketability of Mazafati variety, due to the high costs of production, maintenance and transportation, in recent years, with the approach of developing dry and semi-dry varieties, the cultivated area of Piyarom and Medjool varieties has increased in Kerman province. For this purpose, an experiment was conducted in the form of a randomized complete block design with three treatments (Mazafati, Piyarom and Medjool) in 4 replications with a total of 24 date trees (Phoenix dactylifera L.) 15-year-old for two years (1401-1402) in a well-managed garden in Andohjard and three commercial date cultivars of the region were investigated in terms of performance and the performance of these cultivars was also compared with their origins according to library studies. Also, the studied varieties were compared and evaluated economically. The results of the study using the partial budgeting method showed that Medjool variety is the most suitable option for investment in the studied area and similar climatic conditions. After that, there is the Piyarom variety and then the Mazafati variety. Therefore, the cultivation of dry and semi-dry cultivars in the region is suggested.
