Today tea fields numerous premier and new colonies have been introduced for achievement to suitable quality and quantity while many commercial tea production areas have been replaced with improved colonies. However the shrubs in Iranian tea gardens are old, preliminary measures for selection of premier tea colonies have been performed in our country during the current years. So for development if improved colonies replacement for old shrubs and finally to achieve more products a safe multiplication method with the lowest loss would be necessary. The current research work was done with the objective to decrease the loss in reproduction nurseries. To study the effects of different organic materials in different rates on rooting of semi-wood tea cutting of colon 100, transferred from the primary sand media. To these end four organic materials including mushroom culture media, household garbage. tea waste materials and animal fertilizer were mixed with base soil(50% sand and 50% soil) in volumetric ratio as per zero,25,50 and 75 respectively. This test was experiment as base of randomized complete block design in three repetitions from winter 2004 for the period of three years. In the period of the test properties such as dry and wet weight of the root and stem, longitudinal growth of the root and stem, number of leafs and roots and sapling loss rate were measured and recorded. Taking the notes data were analyzed using SAS statistical software and data mean was compared with Tuckey Test in the probability level of 1%. Results show that treatment of tea waste with blending ratio of 25% has not the lowest losses, is considered as the premier treatment process and has significant difference with other treatment methods.
