Orange varieties in Iran were accounted for the highest citrus crop production. Due to increasing of biotic and abiotic stresses, different cultivars and rootstocks should be evaluated under the conditions of region. Therefore, a study was conducted in a randomized complete block design with Lane late navel orange on three citrus rootstocks with six replications from 2013 to 2020, and the vegetative growth and quantitative and qualitative yield of oranges on each of the rootstocks was performed using combined over years analysis. In the last year (2020), trees on Swingle citrumelo rootstock had the highest volume (6 m3) and on Carrizo citrange had the lowest (5 m3). The highest yield efficiency belonged to trees on Carrizo citrange with 4.11 kg/m3. The average orange yield on three rootstocks from the fourth to seventh years was recorded 11.5 ton/hec but alternate yield during four years in citrange rootstocks was more than citrumelo. The lowest morphological compatibility index between scion and rootstock was observed on the Swingle citrumelo (0.66) in the last year of experiment. Base on the results, the appropriate time for harvesting of this cultivar in the north of Iran is the first decade of December, when the average fruit weight is 300 g, peel thickness is 3.5 mm and peel color is orange and fruit extract is more than 45% of fruit weight. According to the results, for the optimal use of the land and increasing total yield in the north of Iran, in new orchards of Lane late navel orange on trifoliate rootstocks it is possible to use 800-1000 trees per hectare by training in the first four years and annual pruning in late winter.
